Masuhisa Tussar Silk
Masuhisa Tussar Silk
Tussar silk is made by silkworms that eat leaves other than mulberry (sawtooth oak, oak, chestnut, horse chestnut, beech, etc). Unlike pure silk made from silkworms that eat only mulberry, it is not pliant and shrinks when heated.
However, now that natural materials are being reconsidered, the characteristics such as rusticity, hardness of thread, lightness, and unique luster are attracting attention.
*This yarn is less twisted and less lustrous than Masuhisa Tussar Silk 1/5.3 yarn.
