"The Colors of Summertime"

Day 1:  Paper Making! 
Recycle is the order of the day here.  We will create beautiful handmade paper using old paper, laundry lint and funky little treasures from the ground-you know, fuzz, string, flowers, etc.

Day 2:  Tie Dye your stuff! 
We’ll provide a t-shirt, but you can bring up to three more items to tie dye (items must be 100% cotton).  We will learn some basic tie dye designs, like spirals, stripes, fans, sunbursts and more!  Please make sure your brought items are 100% cotton. White is best, but other light colors will do.

Day 3:  Make a cattail.
Using felt, ribbons, silk and a needle and thread each child will create their own beautifully colored cattail to play with. Depending on the group we may further enhance our creations with wool and a felting needle.

Day 4:  Wet on wet silk scarf painting.
Watch as liquid color dances with wet silk. Waters run throughout the cloth creating a myriad of beautiful colors.  We begin with only the primary colors allowing kids to experience the movement first, rather than the color, but WOW!  With each stroke of their brush a new color is formed; creating a unique play silk, scarf, cape....

Cost: $120 for all classes, or $30 per individual class  (includes all materials & a wholesome snack from the earth)
